Galleries that make a difference: Jäger Art Advisory
July 15, 2024Introducing Jäger Art Advisory: A Hub for Photography Art in Berlin
As I am not only passionate about creating photography but also discovering the works of other artists, I’m always on the lookout for inspiring places that celebrate photography. One of my favorite galleries is Jäger Art Advisory in Berlin.
Founded in 2017 by Benjamin Jaeger, Jäger Art Advisory has become a cornerstone of the Berlin photography scene. Benjamin brings nearly two decades of experience in the international photo art market. His background includes serving on the executive board of a publicly listed fine art photography company and managing a renowned international gallery. In 2018, he co-founded Berlin Photo Week and has been a senior advisor for the George Hoyningen-Huene Estate since 2019.
The gallery is managed by Benjamin and his wife, Steffi Jaeger, who I got to know during my time in Berlin and who has over 25 years of experience in the international photo art market. Steffi studied art history in Berlin and has curated numerous exhibitions and participated in international art fairs. Together, they support a diverse range of artists, from emerging talents to established names, helping them develop new exhibition concepts and strategic partnerships.
Jäger Art Advisory is more than just a gallery; it’s a nexus for artists, collectors, and curators. The gallery’s commitment to innovative exhibitions and fostering young artists aligns perfectly with my vision of photography as a powerful medium of artistic expression. Their curated exhibitions are always thought-provoking and provide fresh perspectives on contemporary issues.
If you’re in Berlin, I highly recommend visiting Jäger Art Advisory at Brunnenstrasse 161. Their doors are open Wednesday to Saturday, from 12 to 6 pm.
